Cove Lion
Sea lions don't seem to care much either way. Rain or shine, glassy or blown out, they're stretched out on the rocks, moving with whatever the day gives them instead of pushing against it. No striving, no complaining; just floating, drifting, relaxing in the moment. The Cove Lion is built on that same energy: contentment was never about the conditions.
It's a daily driver shortboard featuring a moderate entry and exit rocker. The wide point sits slightly behind center, locking your foot in and letting you drive down the line without any shuffling to find your stance. It carries a generous amount of foam through the middle, so paddling stays easy and you can keep your foot on the gas pedal from the start. A moderate single concave under the front foot adds lift and speed, transitioning into a subtler double-barrel concave in front of the fins before easing into a mild V out the tail. The rails are refined to keep the board locked to the face even when it's pushed hard.
This board is designed to offer ease and versatility without compromising on control when a wave actually has something to give. It's built for intermediate to advanced surfers who want to surf hard on waist-to-head-high days, but it doesn't shy away from bigger stuff when the swell shows up either. It rewards playful and lively surfing and is great for quick re-entries, and snappy changes of direction. It rewards precision without demanding it: ask something specific of it and it delivers, but it won't punish you for taking it easy either. It's recommended in EPS/epoxy, where the lightweight, responsive core adds extra liveliness, snap, and speed while keeping the board extremely buoyant and fun.
